I received a computer headset for use with Skype for my Apple G5. Nobody can hear my voice when I speak.?
I check your preferences sound of my mac. For some reason, no sound going in. From what I can see the headset is connected to the speaker and microphone in the back of my machine. Any other person using a Mac with a headset had this problem?
Bryan said it was probably a problem in Skype. but not always. So set the record source to use sound card system. set the audio input to record from the microphone. I do not use Mac, so I can not give the exact solution simple general advice here to any computer with a similar problem. Could it be that the microphone is muted software is going to sound card configuration to verify this. could If so with my Nvida chipset often the microphone will not pick up any audio if the sound is set abouve about 30 or 40% of maximum. If you have a program audio recording, such as Microsoft Sound Recorder on Windows systems and then use that and try to save his voice for rcorder and hear his voice, then the problem is more likely a problem with Skype so that has been said check the settings in Skype. If that fails try reinstalling Download Skype and then disconnect from the Internet and operates a wide anti-virus and spyware check, so no virus found disable your anti-virus for the duration of the installation of Skype. After installing the software to reactivate the AV and reconnect to the Internet and configure Skype audio tryu again. I remember that Skype is not free to use utility for the voice test. I think there's even a set of utility sound up on the Help menu. and as said Bryn ensure that there is no mute button on your headset, which prevents him from being heard.
